The 9+ has an updated upper with reinforced overlays and better structure. It’s slightly more rugged and performance-oriented than the 8, with enhanced durability while maintaining breathability and comfort.

This is the most comfortable Altra shoe I have worn. The fit is perfect without the extra stability plastic piece in the previous version. The vibram adds stiffness and protection from rocks. This version is extra roomy in the toe box. If you have worn Altra Lone Peaks in the past and like them, you won't be disappointed with the updates.
Lone peaks are the GOAT when it comes to to trail shoes. I've been wearing lone peaks since the inception and each time they continue to find a way to improve an already fantastic product. What I like most about this product is they are wider than the LP 7 and 8'd, they feel more plush and the have a better heel lock down. If you're running in wet and/or muddy conditions, the vibram outsole on this provide fantastic traction in nasty conditions. 10/10 recommend!
The LONE PEAK 9+ strike a good balance between lug size and ability to grip rock. I enjoyed running on a variety of surfaces, including off trail and in the snow. These shoes excel on trail. I prefer the snugger fit of the King MT for bombing down off trail terrain. However, for longer trail runs, I like the space and feel of the LONE PEAK 9+. ALTRA gave me this free product to try.
